What Does Phase 3 of Reopening Mean for Thrive?
I hope everyone is enjoying their summer and this warm weather! I want to share a quick update on where Thrive Support & Advocacy is as the State officially enters Phase III of the Commonwealth’s Reopening Plan. Thrive continues to work with the Department of Developmental Services (DDS), the Board of Health, health experts, and other stakeholders to review safety measures for all of our programming. The health, safety, and comfort of our participants, their families, and Thrive employees remain our number one priority as we move forward.
Of course, our in-person programming remains closed, but we do have several virtual experiences, including a 4-week Virtual Yoga series starting July 28. For more information on that, and other virtual events and groups, please visit our website at www.icanthrive.org/events. As we move toward fall, we are looking at options for additional programming to keep participants and their families engaged. You will see more on that as the summer comes to a close.
Meanwhile, at the headquarters, we are adhering strictly to the State’s minimum mandatory safety standards and guidance of no more than 50% office capacity. Thrive will increase staffing capacity while considering the comfort level of each employee. We will continue to encourage staff to work from home as much as possible to keep everyone safe. THE MAIN OFFICE REMAINS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, but staff members are available by phone or video conference during regular business hours. Visit our website for direct contact information for individual staff.
We know this has been a challenging time for all, and I want to thank you for your support and patience as we navigate these uncharted waters of reopening. Enjoy your summer, and stay safe.
Best,
President & CEO
